چکیده

High salt-tolerant extracellular protease is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in industries and requires high salt conditions. Some enzymes are not resistant to conditions because they may denature under concentrations. Halophilic microbes produce stable at salts. This research has succeeded isolating several halophilic capable of producing proteases from Bledug Kuwu, Grobogan, Central Java, Indonesia. Extracellular bacteria screened with skim milk selective medium purified the quadrant streak method. Then, pure isolate resulting were characterized BK1B was Gram-positive bacterium, while BK1D Gram-negative bacterium. halotolerant bacterium moderate had largest proteolytic index values, optimal production time three days pH 6. worked optimally 6 temperatures 45 42 °C 2.541 3.505 U/mL activity resistance NaCl concentrations ranging 3 - 13% NaCl. suggests strains can be

Enhanced Production and Characterization of a Highly Stable Extracellular Protease from an Extreme Halophilic Isolate Salicola marasensis

Owing to their superior catalytic activity in the extreme conditions, extremozymes have found the potential biotechnological applications for industrial purposes. A robust extracellular protease activity was detected in the culture broth of Salicola marasensis, an extreme halophilic bacterium, after a 48 h-incubation. The effect of different media ingredients in a liquid state fermentation was ...
